Our goal at Terra Trax is to provide a supportive environment in which teenagers can learn and grow while increasing self-esteem and confidence through personal challenge and positive leadership. Participants will expand their horizons and find themselves in an enriching experience that fosters responsibility,  decision-making, cooperation and resourcefulness. Terra Trax offers experiential education and outdoor programs for youth age 13-18.  Our background and experience has allowed us to provide high end adventures for corporations, individuals, and youth for 15 years.

With fifteen years of teaching experience and providing outdoor leadership for companies such as Outward Bound, Exum Guides, and Adventures International, we have the background and qualified guides to provide a safe and rewarding experience for a wide range of participants.

Through our years of outdoor teaching we have come to the question- why?  Why climb, why hike, why sleep under the stars?  We have found that many lessons found in nature have concrete transference to ‘real life’ decisions back at home and in 'the real world'.

Participants in Terra Trax programs are challenged to develop personal skills  through facilitated adventure experiences. We have seen the results time and time again of the benefits in promoting self-discovery and inspiring growth.

We do not provide summer camps, and this is not an ‘at risk youth’ therapy program, but  we do provide positive role modeling and genuine support for kids facing challenging life issues.   We use a simple yet clear approach to working with kids.  Respect for self and all members of our group is foundational.  We encourage full participation, yet offer the challenge by choice concept that allows free decision making and personal accountability.  Next we set boundaries, in order to agree upon our boundaries we provide the 'Full Value Contract' which is a set of standards agreed upon by all participants, drafted and then signed by all students and instructors.

We teach skills that give participants skills and levels of awareness which allow for solid decision making in a supportive environment.  We exemplify and provide tools which will assist young adults to become responsible, compassionate and caring adults.  We provide students with both  leadership opportunities and group responsibilities that they can comfortably handle.

All of our programs are fully participatory, created to foster individual achievement within a strong context of teamwork and community while creating a foundation of respect and balance for the world in which we live. Under the supervision of qualified trip leaders, participants will receive personalized attention and support while participating in various activities.
